Boundaries

At Think Bright Therapy, we teach you how to set healthy boundaries to live as a self-aware and emotionally intelligent person. Setting healthy boundaries is not an easy process. The process involves setting boundaries in every area of your life (home, work, family, friends, etc.), not only with others, but also, with yourself.

Some say it feels uncomfortable because others get upset with them. When an individual begins to set limitations with another person, group of people, or based on a certain set of circumstances they will likely face opposition. In these situations people may get defensive, argumentative, aggressive, or even demanding. These reactions are based on the access you've provided in the past and now a change in your decision-making process to begin to protect yourself, place yourself first, eliminate pleasing people, and/or begin to identify and meet your own emotional and physical needs.  However, the result of setting healthy boundaries gives an individual the ability to say "No, I'm not comfortable with that, Not at this time, I cannot do that for you".

At Think Bright Therapy we tackle setting healthy boundaries in both individual and group therapy sessions.

We offer a Boundaries class regularly. Contact our office today to find out the next start date and sign up for your next session.
